Faith means leaving your eyes behind…

“They’re Only Chasing Safety.”

Our God is just. He won't give you more than you can bear.

Our God is just. He won't give you more than you can bear.

*Tear Down The Walls* – Hillsong United

Today, right before piano class, this thought came to my mind, and I formed a sort of quote [:

“It is not until we lose our city ceilings that we discover the sky.

It is not until we let go of city lights that we discover the stars.

It is not until you realize that ‘comfort’ is another word for ‘coward,’ that you venture out and discover the truth.” – Joy Geisinger

What this means is:

It really is not until our protection is taken from us, that we realize how beautiful everything is, and it’s not until we let go of our dream of ‘comfortable lives’  and face our fears that we realize how much it was worth it.

It’s not until you realize you must be courageous that you will discover more and breathe more, and that you will fulfill life’s purpose.

So when hard times come, do not curse them, but know, that when you get through them, ‘the sky’ will be so much more beautiful and real. So be courageous.

James 1:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Seeking the shelter of ‘fear’ is not an ideal way to be less afraid.

So step out and face the storm, when you face it, you will feel more ready.

When you face it, close your eyes for a split second, envision that horizon, open your eyes, and know that sunlight is about to break.

Because “You can only come to the morning through the shadows.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien.

Love,

Joy.

Envision That Horizon.

Be Courageous
