I haven’t blogged in a year, I believe.
I want to change that.
This blog means a lot to me.
It is a look into my past.
I will be starting a new blog almost exactly like this one but people are welcome to return to this one when they please.
The new blog will be about the new me.
If you’re wondering why I would do such a thing.
I’m not sure. It has just been on my heart.
I’ll post the link of the new blog when I’ve made it.
“I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8
A quote by one of my favorite authors that made me think, can we live without having friends?
I guess, since, we weren’t meant/made to be alone it would prove hard… but… would we survive?
Ha, yes you will.
Trust me… been there and done/seen/experienced that.
Lost pretty much all my friends for a bit [got them back for a while, dunno when I’ll lose them again]
and, I survived.
It is painful, but I made it.
I made it to… today!
Still, not the point I was going for, look at the second part of the quote now,
“rather, it is one of those things that give value to survival.”
it really, really does give value to life.
Loneliness is such a terrible feeling, nobody likes it.
I mean, it is fun to be alone sometimes, but, feeling lonely is no fun at all.
However, when you lose your friends, you are more aware of what they are worth.
When I lost my friends, I wished I had held them more, talked to them more, been there for them more, told them I loved them more, told them I missed them more… and the list goes on.
Hold your friends, treasure them. NEVER take them for granted.
Love them, while you have them.

So, in a week it will be the end of summer and the beginning of school. I will be going to a new school, so I am somewhat frightened, but we will see what happens. Also, I have to repeat 9th grade not because I failed academically, in fact, I did pretty well, but because they do not have a 10th grade and due to many, many reasons my parents believe this is THE BEST option.
(This has changed a bit, now I’m doing 4 semesters of schooling in the same year, both 9th and 10th grade.)
I guess, I have to keep my head up and move forward cause there isn’t any other way.
I can do it with a smile on my face, or, I can do it with a whole bagful of complaints, including the famous line ‘I hate life.’
“You can’t choose your circumstances, but you can choose your attitude.” – Unknown (I’ll look it up sometime.)
“…yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” – Habakkuk 3:18
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” – Romans 12:12
“[ Trials and Temptations ] Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds…” James 1:2

it wont hurt this much
And never will I have to
answer again to anyone
Please don’t get me wrong
Because i’ll never let this go,
but i can’t find the words to tell you

“What Is Love?”
Now I thought about blogging all the things that Love is but I decided to do it in parts so I can elaborate more.
“Love is Sacrificial.”
I have learned that one over this last week.
It is when you have THE most perfect best friend in the world, and you realize that you have to give him up so he will be happy. (Long, complicated story) I tried everything imaginable to keep this friendship but in the end, only I would experience a small amount of happiness and that was just selfish.
Now for the great joy and freedom he will experience later, it is important that I sacrifice this amazing friendship now.
I am sure that there are many, many people that have had to sacrifice something amazing and much bigger than this, but if you have had to lose a best friend, you would know how I feel.
Now, he was not just any best friend, he was the best. A friend I had prayed for since I was a little kid.
“Nothing that you have not given away will ever be really yours.” -C. S. Lewis
That being said, Love is not self-seeking (selfish) and it is sacrificial.
No matter how much pain and misery this will cause you, you should do what will make the other person happy, and with that in mind, you, yourself will experience joy.
I am going to miss you, but if I don’t let you go, I never really loved you.
Do not be selfish.

I was somewhat bored and upset at something so I decided to do some writing. [:
Here are some random thoughts of mine put together to form some poor form of Free Verse Poetry.
Out To A Tall Lighthouse
Ah, take the empty seat next to me,
I’ve been thinking long, looking at the sea,
Could you etch me a silent silhouette of the fire in a specific individuals heartbeat?
Last night I never met the glowing light hung on the balcony of the high city storehouse.
Such a light that would draw crowds of moths from every part of the world.
It had been left on ten years ago.
Without any true visitors it grew lonely,
Yet it’s light never grew dimmer.
No, it breathed with a consistent glow of radiant light.
It found friendship among it’s winged companions,
It’s dull mute acquaintances brought warmth in for their attractive friend.
As I thought deeply of this affair,
My gaze shifted further out to a tall lighthouse,
How majestically it stood,
Shining its powerful beam out into the waters,
It was lonelier than the lamp hanging on the balcony,
Yet it never disappointed the fishermen,
It never let them down,
It knew what it was made to do,
And that if it were anywhere else it would be miserable.
I suppose my aim in this piece,
Is to remind you,
That your purpose has been defined,
Yet we repel our life’s design.
With no true resolve,
Ignoring motivation, determination,
Forgetting our commitment,
We walk away.
I am of the firm belief that:
No matter how hopeless and foolish our task seems,
No matter if it reaps no results,
No matter how much tolerance is asked of us,
No matter how many storms are headed our way,
No matter how much fear clouds our minds,
No matter how patient we must remain…
We must do as we are asked,
We must shine our lights,
Because without it we are empty,
Because it is what we were meant to do,
And because someone, somewhere is watching you.

“the more people i meet, the more lonely i become.” – I got this off the blog of an acquaintance of mine that goes by the name of Maddi Williams. Her blogs are definitely very inspirational/inspiring to me. Her ability to use simple words and get you thinking deeply is remarkable. However, I’m certain she does not remember me or even knows that someone named Joy Geisinger is even her friend on myspace.
Back to Blog.
That one sentence got me thinking, and I decided to elaborate on her thought.
How could you possibly feel lonelier when you meet more people?
Does a person’s inability to bring you true comfort or show you true love, leave the definition of “feeling alone” undefeated?
For me, yes.
This world really has lost all its glory.
God created Eve for Adam so that he would not feel lonely.
However, these people we come across are unable to console us, or show us undying affection or “love.”
I am alone.
I am truly alone.
They have the capability of only comforting you at a certain level. When you require uplifting beyond that, I am afraid, God is your sole answer.
But a Hopeful answer all the same.
No one can bring you more hope than hope itself.
Otherwise, no matter how many faces you come across…
You will ALWAYS be ALONE.
Now looking at “love.”
Your boyfriend/Girlfriend, parent, sibling, cousin, best friend, grandparent can show you a ton of love. However, we are not perfect and we do make mistakes, so we will disappoint you.
Then, to whom will you turn to?
We will let you down.
We will fail you.
No matter how many of us you meet.
But look Up.

You are Not alone.

“Why are you striving these days?
Why are you trying to earn grace?
Why are you crying?
Let me lift up your face
Just don’t turn away.
Why are you looking for love?
Why are you still searching as if I’m not enough?
To where will you go child?
Tell me where will you run?
To where will you run?
And I’ll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don’t fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you.
Look at these hands and my side
They swallowed the grave on that night
When I drank the world’s sin
So I could carry you in
And give you life
I want to give you life
Cause I, I love you
I want you to know
That I, I love you
I’ll never let you go.” – *By Your Side* – Tenth Avenue North
I was planning on posting a few lines off of that song but decided that putting the whole thing up there would be a better idea [:
You are NOT alone.
When you are there, down on your knees, or lying on the floor, helpless, you are NOT alone.
Please, turn to God, because he wants “to give you life.” He wants you to be happy.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
His plans are to make you hopeful and have a Beautiful future so no matter what you’re going through, you can come to Him. His intentions are good and He Loves You like no one else can.
When you are feeling like a complete failure or feeling lost, or feeling hopeless, come to Him, and He will comfort you.
Deuteronomy 33:27 says, “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, ‘Destroy him!'”
[: Be Hopeful and turn towards the person who died to save your life. Let him make you joyful.
